In pole vault qualifying, the field’s leading competitors were passed through directly to the final. In addition, 12 athletes who cleared 10-0 or higher today were advanced to the final. They were: Kortney Kavanaugh, Michelle Quirk, Danielle Depalo, Natalie Parkes, Amber Gaffey, Hilary Senesac, Rebecca Power, Lindsey Patterson, Brooke Miller, Christine Head and Taylor Cook.

Tori Anthony of California, who broke the national high school record this winter at 14-2 ¼, won here at 13-6 ½. That broke the meet and Armory records of 13-6 ¼ set by Mary Saxer, the former national record holder. The runnerup was Stephanie Duffy, who cleared 12-9 ½.
